Ancestral Teachings and Wisdom of Wild Plants

In Revered Roots,

Indigenous Métis Herbalist LoriAnn Bird shares the ancestral wisdom of over 90 wild edible and medicinal plants from across North America.

Reclaiming our natural rhythms and connections to the earth we walk on is essential to our health and well-being, both as individuals and as a community. One simple way to do that is by appreciating, respecting, and rebuilding the relationships around us.

This purposeful and powerful guide to the lessons, nourishment, healing, and history of our plant teachers shares guidance on identifying, collecting, and alchemixing these long-revered plants as food and medicine.

Rewilding Programs

We Invite You to Both the North and the South,

To learn from teachers on their Indigenous practices, creation stories, and traditional medicines.

Join us deep in the Amazon basin to learn from our friends in the South. In partnership with the local community, this trip invites you to reconnect by learning from the forest’s rhythms, its rich biodiversity, its medicines, and the ancestral knowledge of those who have lived in reciprocity with this ecosystem for generations.

In the North, we invite you to events throughout Summer 2025 for medicinal retreats, hosted by LoriAnn, Laura, and Flavio, our friend and Shaman from the Amazon jungle.

This is a call to remember—your place in the wild, your body’s wisdom, and your kinship with the more-than-human world.

Dreaming of Plants

Indigenous Knowledge

Experience the profound connection between nature and well-being on guided nature walks. These journeys are more than just walks – they are immersive experiences that invite you to observe, listen, and learn from the natural world. As we traverse various landscapes, you will gain insights into plant identification, animal behaviour, and the sacred relationships between all living things.

Step into a quiet space of reflection and reverence in our Dreaming with Plants circles. These gatherings invite you to slow down and attune to the subtle language of the plant world. Through guided meditations, storytelling, and shared dreaming practices, we explore the ways plants speak—not just through their medicine, but through presence, pattern, and spirit.

I share knowledge to explore traditional knowledge, spiritual practices, and the stories passed down through generations. these sessions provide an opening to Indigenous ways of knowing and being, fostering a sense of belonging and respect for the wisdom of the land and waters.
